Chinese Dragon Collage

I love giving "easy" projects to the older grades sometimes because it really lets them be creative. Instead of learning new skills, we can really push the limits of what we already know. 4th grade create these amazing Chinese dragon collages in January. I showed them how to draw the basic heard shape (a bean) then I showed them some examples and we discussed the parts of a Chinese dragon. After that, it was up to them. They had fun and created amazing and unique dragons! Love the 3D aspects on some of these! ^_^

What has he SEEN? I love this!

A Little Love

We took a break from our study of countries to spread some love. A simple oil pastels and watercolor project based on Jim Dine. These always turn out nice, love them. <3

Youth Art Month Challenge 2017!

Hello all! Last year for our YAM challenge, students created 10 themed artworks for a show. I was astonished at how many kids participated and I was very proud of my Guild artists! This year, our challenge is to choose 1 project from our YouTube channel to create. They are projects that we have done throughout the year and students are challenged to choose something they have not done from another grade. Can't wait to see what they come up with! Go find us on YouTube at youtube.com/artfromchaos!
