Monet's Waterlillies

In April we did a few short projects based on nature. We made some flowers based on the works of Georgia O'Keefe (and of course I have no pictures!) and some of Monet's Waterlillies. Every grade did these and here are a few of my favorites. We used wavy lines and cool colors.

Henri Rousseau Pop-Ups

In May we focused on environmental artworks and artists who use nature as inspiration. In this project, we viewed Henri Rousseau's Jungle series and discussed animals in their natural habitats. Then we created pop-up cards of animals in their natural habitats. We also discussed foreground, middle ground, and background. The PowerPoint for this project is available under the pictures. These were a lot of fun. :)
